Sinopse

La educación superior enfrenta actualmente uno de los mayores desafíos de su historia: formar profesionales capaces de comprender la complejidad del mundo contemporáneo, analizar críticamente la información disponible y generar soluciones innovadoras a los problemas científicos, sociales y tecnológicos del siglo XXI. En este contexto, la convergencia entre las neurociencias y las ciencias de la educación constituye una oportunidad excepcional para fortalecer la calidad de los procesos formativos mediante la incorporación de evidencias científicas sobre el funcionamiento del cerebro y los mecanismos que sustentan el aprendizaje humano.

Durante las últimas décadas, los avances de la neurociencia han transformado profundamente la comprensión de procesos como la atención, la memoria, la motivación, la emoción, las funciones ejecutivas, la plasticidad cerebral y la toma de decisiones. Sin embargo, la transferencia de estos conocimientos hacia la práctica educativa continúa siendo un desafío debido a la persistencia de neuromitos, interpretaciones simplificadas y aplicaciones pedagógicas desprovistas de respaldo científico. Esta realidad hace indispensable promover una auténtica alfabetización neurocientífica que permita a docentes, investigadores y estudiantes interpretar críticamente la evidencia disponible y utilizarla de manera ética y contextualizada.
